The Dave Cool Regatta

One of the original J/22 fleet members, Dave Cool owned hull 20, Joe Cool. Passionate about racing, he established the Dave Cool Icebreaker regatta to encourage the J/22 fleet to get their boats in the water and ready to sail as early as possible. Traditionally the first regatta of the year at Wayzata Yacht Club, this has continued to be a prized event for hearty sailors eager to race in typically cold and windy conditions – baptism by fire. This year, the J/22 fleet is pleased to invite their friends in the J/24 and J/70 fleets to break some ice on Lake Minnetonka.
